About Us and Our Clients
Steve Smith, born and raised in Washington State, comes from a strong craftsman family.
He started learning in his junior high school years, heading off in the early hours of the
weekend mornings to "assist" his Dad and his dedicated crew of highly skilled carpenters.
When his dad, Gary, decided it was time to hang up the hammers in 1998,
Steve took over the business with the confidence and knowledge that he had learned from the best.
The extra care in selecting and mentoring each and every employee makes Steve's crews some of the most talented and meticulous carpenters in the industry. Always under Steve's watchful eye to make
sure that quality is not compromised, but schedules are met and budgets are watched
for each and every client of the Town & Country family, these carpenters have flourished and skills
have grown while working with Steve any his many inspiring clients.
Steve and his wonderful family - wife Tracy, and four VERY active children - strive to continue
living the strong work ethic and joy in "doing what you love". Over the 30 years of doing what he loves,
Steve has created an extended family of builders, architects, designers and homeowners
that have come to value not only his services, but the friendship and shared passion in
creating something beautiful to enjoy for a lifetime.
